Since having my children I have worked as a specialist Teaching Assistant in a local primary school. I became increasingly aware of the connection between a child’s emotional wellbeing and their attainment. The more secure and content a child feels, the more likely they are to explore, learn and develop into resilient and independent adults. I was able to witness the difference Play Therapy made to the children I was working with back then and decided to train myself.

I studied for a Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy, achieving distinction in both, from Leeds Becket University 2016 – 2019.

I have worked in local schools since qualifying and from September 2021 will be running my own practice from my garden cabin at home.
